Join us for a special evening of Christmas memories, friendship, literature, and the enduring wisdom of C.S. Lewis.
Lewis, at home in Oxford, hosting a group of Americans spending Christmas in the university city. As the evening unfolds, he reflects on cherished Christmas traditions, what Christmas means to him, and how he experienced the first Christmas following the death of his wife.
Along the way, Lewis shares insights into his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, offering a fascinating glimpse into one of the great literary friendships of the twentieth century.
David Payne, whose acclaimed performances have sold out at the Phoenix Theatre, brings Lewis to life on stage. Community Church of the Verdes is delighted to offer this special performance to our community at no cost. We hope you will join us!
