To be a Christ centered church that inspires individuals to grow closer to God and to serve others with loving and compassionate hearts.

Strategic Plan
Our faith is summarized by the Apostles' Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Our Governance

As an independent community church affiliated with the International Council of Community Churches, we are a self-governing congregation.  Each year at our Annual Meeting in March, we elect Trustees who maintain fiduciary responsibility and management of the church and its affairs and property.  

Each Spring the congregation gathers as a body to receive reports from officers, trustees, staff members, ministries, and committees, as well as elect new trustees and review plans, dreams, and financial needs for the coming year. To read the Annual Report and By-laws, click the buttons below.

Our History

The Community Church of the Verdes was established in 1980. Since then, it has grown from a small group of people worshipping in the Rio Verde Country Club to a thriving community of believers coming together on an exquisite campus to love God and do his work.
