Clissene Lewis, Cultural Coordinator for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation will present the historical journey of the Yavapai People. From ancestral origins to the evolution of cultural practices and spiritual beliefs we will learn more about our neighbors, living just south of Rio Verde.
Clissene Lewis studied American Indian Studies at Arizona State University and earned her tribal government certification from Scottsdale Community College.  Lewis utilizes personal family history and ancestral narratives to provide an authentic perspective on the Yavapai people.
