Genesis is foundational to Christian doctrine and provides answers to the basic existential questions of who am I, where did I come from and why am I here. Our objective is to know God better, a life-long process, and what He desires of His people. In Genesis we will discover that He has revealed Himself to us as almighty, all knowing, ever present, sovereign, faithful, merciful, loving, eternal and His many other attributes.
Ed Carpenter practiced corporate law in Minneapolis before retiring to Rio/Tonto Verde in 1996. He was a teaching leader in Bible Study Fellowship in the Minneapolis area for 11 years. In 1992 he became an Area Advisor for BSF Young Adult classes. He has led Bible studies in the Verdes for 25+ years. He lives in Tonto Verde where he enjoys all the community activities including golf and biking.

This study explores how God speaks, confronts, and restores His people in uncertain times. Each week we’ll read Scripture together and consider how Jeremiah’s message shapes our lives now. Recaps and recordings are available by request for anyone who cannot attend in person.
Michael Northrup has been actively teaching the Bible for 50 years in various settings: high school, college, youth director, Prison Ministry, and in our own community the past 15 years. He enjoys running and considers himself a perpetual learner, loving to continually study and teach. He and his wife Cathy live in Rio Verde.
